26th December 2009 is SRUFC's unofficial 4 or 5th Christmas Jumper Appreciation Day!
This is a day that’s celebrates that special gift given to you from your nearest and dearest on Christmas morning. 'That special gift' may be doomed to be placed lovingly at the back of the wardrobe never to be seen again. This should not be tolerated! Therefore Xmas Jumper appreciation day has been created to lovingly boast your festive present for all to see, before it goes caringly back in the closet.
That special gift to lovingly boast could be;
•A knitted cardigan from your granny
•A jumper with a cute lovable animal stitched across the chest from your mum
•A cream shirt with the head of Disney's Pocahontas printed all over it (Uncle John!)
•A pair of Beige cord trousers from your aunty
•A Christmas jumper……(The list is endless and no doubt priceless)
If you were a good boy/girl this year you may have been fortunate enough to not receive such a gift from a family member or friend, but never fear. We recommend you spend your Christmas money and give to those less fortunate than yourself. By visiting one of our local charity shops. You will be helping a local charity and you may find that special gift that your Granny or mum should of given this Christmas.
We ask that you wear your Jumper or Xmas Gift after the Rifles V Marauders game and we have a festive glass in the clubhouse.
