The third team was victorious by 46-7 at home to Malton and Norton seconds. Tries for Ellis (2), Watterson, Hinchliffe, Copson, Drewry, Wainer and Johal.
Fair play to Malton and Norton who despite only having eleven players, still made the long journey to North Lincolnshire to ensure the fixture was fulfilled. A special mention must also go to the three scunny players who unconditionally agreed to play for the visitors to ensure the game was a competitive one.

i would just make the point that it doesnt do to give them to much credit..
They only made one fixture against the rifles at scunny in 5 years
i also scraped a bare 15 to travel all the way up there in 2007, for them to play the 3rd team against us in the first half and the 2nd team in the second...
they are one of the reasons the rifles dropped out of the east yorks merit table

M & N are the one reason that everyone should pull out all the stops to ensure a success when opperation flush resurfaces later this winter. Not Ernies favourites at all.
