I know the lads very shy so I thought I'd set this thread up for him.As anyone who knows Woody will tell you he likes to have a flutter now and again. On anything. So if he'd like to share his top tips with us all in this way we could follow his form and decide for ourselves if its a worthwhile venture.
Also any one with any tales of his successes or indeed any failures he might come up with can feel free to air their views here
I wonder if he'd like to tell us of the perils of betting against your own team,in his case Sale as apparently he foolishly did when they played Gloucester yesterday
Over to you all

notice nobody tipped shanehill running in the 2_20 at taunton today, good job too, it seemed to have all the pace of its namesake....

mrs hill looked at this nag and its form. it read - lacks drive and pace although starts good but hasn't finished in his last 10 attempts mmm sure sounds like the 2 legged version!! ps his last outing was at mkt rasen where it was firm to hard going

Gloucester - who are flying vs Sale - minus a whole host of internationals
Surely only one outcome?
Doh!!!
It did hurt massively to back against my own team but I couldn't see how we could possibly win without Jason White, Andy Sheridan, Charlie Hodgson, Mark Cueto, Elvis Seveali'i and I G Lobbe. Good last minute penalty to win the match though.

Shanehill was pulled up today at Taunton.
For anybody who has a limited knowledge of racing, a horse needs to run three times in order to get a handicap mark. Today was its third run and its now qualified for handicaps. Its 2nd run showed quite a bit of promise as it was well clear but got lost on the course at Kilbeggan. (what was its name again?) Following this, a shrewd trainer will then put it out for its third 'run' which it will do poorly (today?) leaving it rated on a low mark. The horse then gets entered into a handicap race a couple of grades lower than it has been running in. It then, in theory, has quite a good chance at a fairly nice price.
Next time out this horse may just have a bit of a chance.

the implication being that shanehill was a non trier... does that mean that all the horses dont try in every race then? whats the rifles handicap?

Yeah cheers Phil "Mate" as usual your too f#[(ing late to make my day. This post was not intended as a piss take it was from the heart and I felt you wouldn't let me down. I had every confidence in you and your fluttering skills but alas you've gone down the same rickety road again. I remorgaged for that race only because you did not tell me not to . Yours very disillusioned Homeless Prof
Lucky you cant see the tear drops on my keyboard
